Wow, Day Six was great! What a night and day difference it was from day five. I really didn't feel hungry until it was about 2 1/2 hours after I ate previously. Eating prior to bed and making sure I eat on a regular schedule.
I haven't felt like blogging, just been busy with life and the momentum momentarily left.
On the morning of Day Eight I weighed in to see what my first week's weight loss was. 4 pounds! Well I was thinking that it seemed a little low. I had been following the diet, but wondered if Day 5 might have been almost a wash for me. I weighed the morning of Day Nine, Saturday morning and guest what, another pound. Whoo hoo! I like saying I lost 5 pounds. On Friday, I drank so much water that I knew I was flushing the fat away.
Saturday I went to a potluck picnic, which was somewhat difficult. I planned out my meals so that I would have my lean & green when I got home. I probably should have taken my lean and green with me. There was several "buckets" of Kentucky Fried Chicken, some grilled. I could have had some of the grilled KFC, but I was concerned about just what was on it. I popped a few cherry tomatoes in my mouth.
Sunday and today have been great days. I've been adventurous and have had shakes, hot chocolate, and great soft serve ice cream. I have not felt hungry, I even have to remind myself what time I need to eat again. It's amazing that this quickly after starting I am not feeling hungry.
I am trying to read Dr. Anderson's book, Habits of Health. I know that working through the companion workbook and reading this book I will have a better mindset of the food that we all hold near and dear. Right now when I think about a going to a sporting game or movie there are the favorite foods that we all love to have. I desire to reshape my thinking so I can live a healthier life. Jeff and I were talking about using the Medifast bars in the future in place of a candy bar. I have to say they are really good, and good for you.
Keep up the good fight!
